The Story
TechKC is the successor to kansascityusergroups.com, a site that has tracked Kansas City's tech user groups since 2009. That original site served the community well for many years, but it was time for a modern rebuild — one that's faster, easier to maintain, and a better home for everything the KC tech scene has to offer: groups, events, venues, speakers, and organizations.
TechKC is open source, community-maintained, and will always be free to list. If you know of a group, event, venue, or organization that should be here, please submit it.

I'm a software developer and longtime participant in the Kansas City tech community. I've been involved in organizing, attending, and promoting KC tech meetups for years, and I built this site because I believe a thriving local tech scene depends on people being able to find each other — the groups, the events, the venues, and the organizations that make it all happen.
I volunteer my time to keep TechKC up to date, but it's a community resource — corrections, additions, and pull requests are always welcome.
